Cap printing and embroidery in Kenya: buying guide
Choose branded cap printing or embroidery by comparing the cap, logo, placement and quantity together. A logo that works on a flat T-shirt may need a different size or simpler layout on a curved cap front. All-Pod's cotton baseball cap and trucker cap pages list the methods and variants configured for each product.
For a complete quote, confirm the cap model, colours, number of pieces, decoration method and logo placement. A blank cap price and a finished branded cap price describe different purchases. Compare the same specification, including any setup, before deciding.
Printing or embroidery for a cap logo?
| Choice | Useful comparison | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Embroidery | A stitched interpretation of a clear logo | Fine lettering, stitch preparation and the usable panel area |
| Available print method | A printed interpretation of the artwork | Cap material, surface shape, colour and supported placement |
| Multiple cap colours | A coordinated staff or event order | Logo contrast and quantity for each actual variant |
Embroidery builds the design with thread. Small text, gradients and dense areas can require simplification. Ask whether the supplied artwork needs stitch preparation and check the resulting appearance before production. The original image dimensions do not establish how an embroidered logo will look.
A print method uses the available product configuration and artwork dimensions. Do not assume that every method offered on a garment is offered on every cap. Compare only the methods displayed for your chosen product. The branding method comparison explains the broader differences.

Fit the logo to the actual panel
Use a clear main mark and avoid making the business tagline too small to read. Leave space around seams and the edge of the usable panel. Ask the team to review a design that crosses a seam, requires unusual positioning or has very small details.
Keep the artwork proportional. Stretching a square logo into a wide rectangle changes the brand mark. In the assistant's merchandise editor, resize within the available placement area and inspect the resulting proof. A screen proof helps check the proposed position; request a physical sample when texture, fit or exact finished appearance is central to the decision.
Prepare a team order
List the cap model and quantity for each colour. Check the actual size information rather than assuming “one size” guarantees a fit for everyone. Confirm fastening and fit details with the team when those are important to your staff or audience.
For example, a request for caps for a field team should identify the wearer count, preferred colours, logo file, intended front placement, delivery town and required date. State if the order includes different logos or individual names. Those details can change the production work and need review.
Use Order with assistant to start with the cotton cap already identified. Confirm the selected variant and method, upload your logo and review the saved proof and quote before checkout. Use bulk orders for a coordinated uniform kit or procurement request.
FAQ
Is embroidery always cheaper than cap printing?
No. Compare the actual cap, artwork, method, setup and quantity. The live examples show a stated specification; your saved quote uses your confirmed choices.
Can I supply a photograph or a detailed logo?
Supply the original artwork and ask which available method suits it. Detailed gradients and small lettering need different treatment in print and embroidery. Confirm feasibility before approving.
Does one size mean the cap will fit every wearer?
No. Check the actual product's size and adjustment information. Ask for measurements or a sample when fit is important.
Can I order different colours in one job?
Choose the available variants and enter the quantity for each. Confirm the same branding specification or state clearly where logos or placements differ.
